Work on your homework together without leaving the house

homework-together

It took me 6 years to finish my B.A. degree. That’s 2 or 3 years more than most people study (depending on the country and what they’re studying of course). Often times I joke that after studying for so many years I could have been a doctor by now. Lucky for me, I was young when I started, I finished high-school early, and started college at age 15. I did 3 years at community college, finished my A.S. and then had to restart when I began at a private college, one that I studied at for 3 years.

I don’t know about you guys, but I had to work my way through college, in fact, most of my days consisted of only 2 things, studying and working. I wouldn’t change it for anything, and I appreciate all that it taught me, but I can think back now and realize that there were some ways that life could have been a lot easier for me. For example, when you’re working 40 hours a week, and studying full-time, where do you fit in the time to meet people for study sessions and group projects, I mean I barely had time to eat or sleep?

I remember in my last year of studies that out of 10 classes, I think 6 of them involved papers or projects with another person. On top of that, there were a couple of classes (maths in particular) that I wasn’t at all good at, and needed help with. So regardless of how far these people lived from me, I had to not only find time to meet them, but also take into consideration travel time and expenses.

What I really could have used during those 6 years of studies, was somewhere where I could have met my study partner online, a virtual environment where my partner and I could have done research online together, browsed through videos and content together, and even written and edited documents together, all whilst both looking at exactly the same screen. With something like that I could have even been tutored online. The amount of time and money I would have saved from this is crazy.

Although I wasn’t lucky enough to have encountered something with such capabilities during my studies, you are obviously more fortunate. In the last few years we see incredible advancements with online video chatting and collaboration. It’s really easy now to talk and study with your friends while you’re in the comfort of your own home.

There are of course many ways to do it now, but I suggest you give 6rounds free web cam video chat a shot. It’s really easy to get started with it and you can also invite your classmates to do the same, so next time you’re having troubles with some unsolved mathematical equation, just take a short round with your friend and take the pressure of your back.
