At Rounds, our goal is to reach as many web users as we possibly can, and offer them a fun and easy place where they can video chat while socializing in numerous ways. As a writer for 6rounds’ blog, I think we have a pretty good blog here. We have articles that are not only funny (if I do flatter myself) but informative about social media and beyond. I can’t speak for my fellow bloggers, but when I’m writing an article, or trying to think of an article to write (which can be much harder) I draw inspiration from the best blog sites out there. I want my articles to be like theirs: smart, topical, and comical. If you’re not much of a blog reader, except for this one, of course, you might be surprised how entertaining some of them can be.
With social media we have essentially created a new culture, and with every new culture comes sub-cultures. We all don’t use Facebook the same way, the same as we don’t all do the same things for fun or share the same interests. Your friend list is more diverse than you’ve probably realized. See if you have a friend that fits into a certain “type” or find out if you’re a type.
You know that we love to find unique, creative and often odd things on the web. Well today, you’re in luck! We recently came across this Facebook fan page called The Daily Creature. Heard of it? Well if you haven’t, you should definitely check it out. Although it’s not so daily anymore, Tal Zubalsky creates these crazy cool Daily Creatures and posts them to the facebook page. It’s his own personal project. He even has a YouTube Channel where he shows how some of the creatures are created.
You know that we love finding funny unpopular YouTube videos. Well, this is like no other. Although it’s from back in 2008, somehow it hasn’t reached the masses yet. And let me tell you, it’s hysterical! Go ahead, watch it yourself:
Not too long ago I wrote an article about the best books you probably haven’t read. I said it would be a great way to kick off a conversation with your webcam buddy. Unfortunately, not everyone is as into books as I am, so literature might not be the most helpful conversational piece during those awkward pauses. But I haven’t met anyone yet who doesn’t love movies. Or at least like movies. There are a ton of genres out there, but my favourite are horror movies. More specifically, cheesy horror movies. When a horror movie tries, and fails completely, there is nothing more entertaining, James Cameron be damned. So if you have nothing to say to your friend over a webcam, just watch ones of these and laugh at other people’s failure.
