The Internet has proven itself particularly dangerous for That Guy. There are hundreds of YouTube videos made by self-proclaimed female experts, all of whom seem to use lots and lots of accessories.

There are sexperts offering seduction webinars and step-by-step tutorials on “How to Approach the Female Species.” But most bizarrely, there’s also been an explosion of “pick-up artist” websites, due to the popular Neil Strauss book The Game and a reality TV show spin-off. I even had the surreal experience of recognizing a pick-up scheme in an online forum as one I’d once been confronted with at a bar.
In fact, it seems there are are a lot of guys out there who are employing pick-up routines straight from the Internet. Call me naive, but I always thought a lot of the lamer attempts were improvised on the spot. I was shocked and weirded out to realize that That Guy was actually basing his antics on an entire corpus of online literature.
Below, check out 3 Hilarious Ways Men Attempt to Pick-up Women.

Okay, so your parents joined Facebook. If you’re immature (like me), you stalled more than a few days before accepting their friend request.
Perhaps you feared it would be messy. What would Mom think about the beer pong party you just threw for your 30th birthday? (Aren’t you getting a bit old for that honey?) What would Dad have to say about those sexy pics you posted after your Sweet 16? (I didn’t know the skating rink was a nightclub. Is that root beer?) Whether you’re a teenager or a fully grown adult, parents and “the Facebook” can be a delicate matter.
Some might choose to put ol’ Mom and Dad on a limited profile, but I’m here to say: Why on earth would you want to? Sure, the parental units’ use of social media might result in some occasional awkward moments for you, but mostly…it’s just funny.
Check out the 6 Ways Your Parents Can Be Weird on Facebook.

I’ve always been a huge game fan. But I’m not what you would call a “gamer.” As things got more complicated, I got less interested. I’m a big believer that Super Nintendo was and will forever be the best console ever created. I mean Zelda, Chrono Trigger, Zombies Ate My Neighbors? I dare you to name a modern game that beats any of those. And any time I can arm twist enough people, I always try to get a board game going. I haven’t lost a game of monopoly in a long time. Another favorite of mine has always been chess. Even though it may seem simple on the outside, you can play it a million times and never play the same game twice. Also, there’s strategy involved, and you don’t live or die on the throw of the dice. The nice thing about board games isn’t the simplicity, but the interaction with the people you’re playing with. It’s not artificial intelligence or disembodied voices, but a real, live person. 6rounds offers games that you can play with the person right in front of you, whether that person be a friend, family member, or complete stranger. Games like:

The internet can be a source of great good and great evil, but usually it’s a source of great distraction. We Twitter about the annoying guy in front of us in line, “lol” at a friend’s Facebook status, and take pictures of the weird thing the guy on a video chat can do. It’s fun and entertaining, but it’s rare when anything we do in the cyber world makes a serious impact in the concrete world. So when we make a difference, when we change things a little bit through out sheer numbers and force of will, it feels amazing. It feels like there’s nothing we can’t do. A lot of us had that feeling when Betty White was chosen to host Saturday Night Live on May 8th.

The Internet is a weird place filled with flashy lights, funny noises, random combinations, and a short attention span. Memes are defined by Merriam-Webster as: an idea, behavior, style, or usage that spreads from person to person within a culture. Internet memes are born, lived and then fizzle out because of over-saturation. There are some that are obviously destined to be memes like Keyboard Cat, Dramatic Chipmunk and Joseph Decreux Archaic rap. Then there are others that make about as much sense as a pro-wrestler showing off his My Little Pony collection on MTV Cribs.
